1979–80 Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team
The 1979–80 Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team represents the University of Iowa in the 1979–80 college basketball season. The team is led by head coach Lute Olson. They finished with a 20–8 (10–8 Big Ten) record the previous season. In the NCAA Tournament Iowa was in the East bracket. On the weekend of December 22/23 1979 Iowa played in the Dayton, Ohio Classic.
